This page explains what DateGlow stores about you, why, and for how long.

What we store

• Account: email, password (stored only as a hash), date of birth, and when you accepted our terms.
• Dating profile: display name, gender, who you are looking for, bio, interests, city, photos and preferences. Other members see the profile, your city and your age, never your date of birth or email.
• Activity: your likes, passes, superlikes, matches, blocks and messages.
• Companion listings: listing text, rates, availability, photos, favourites and booking requests.
• Selfie checks: the selfie and the code. Only moderators can see it, each view is logged, and it is deleted when the check is decided, or after 30 days at most. We never ask for identity documents.
• Purchases: what you bought, the amount, and the billing name, phone and address that the payment provider requires. Card details are entered on the payment provider's page and never reach us.
• Reports and contact messages you send us.

Why

To run your account and the features you use (contract), to keep the site safe and adult-only and to moderate content (legitimate interest and legal obligation), and to keep records of payments (legal obligation).

Some profile information, such as who you are looking for, can reveal your sexual orientation. You choose to give it so that we can show you matching members, and you can change or remove it at any time.

Photos

Every photo is re-saved when you upload it, which removes hidden details such as the camera location. Photos are shown only to signed-in members, and never to search engines.

Who sees it

• Other members see only what is on your profile or listing, and your messages to them.
• DateGlow staff see personal details only when their job needs it. Each look at private data is recorded and limited per hour.
• Service providers who process data for us: hosting, email delivery and the payment provider.

How long

Until you delete your account. Deletion removes your account and everything in it 7 days after you ask. Reports and our moderation records keep only identifiers, not your content. Payment records are kept as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

You can see and change most of your data in the app, and delete your account at any time. To ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or to object, contact us. You can also complain to your data protection authority.
